Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Ergowave technology with active elastomers makes this saddle very comfortable.
- With its compact nose, this saddle gives your legs ample room to move.
- The Active elastomers allow you to adjust the degree of cushioning to your liking, or to opt for no cushioning at all!
- The harder padding ensures a more direct power transfer.
- This harder saddle is suitable for cyclists who ride once or twice a week. If you cycle less frequently, you need a softer saddle that provides more comfort. If you cycle more frequently, you need a harder saddle that provides more support.

Description
Description
Designed for maximum on-road efficiency and comfort
The 612 Ergowave Active 2.1 saddle was designed with road cycling in mind. The 612 features a flat and narrow MaxContact® saddle nose, which gives you plenty of room to move in aerodynamic positions. Also, the 612 has relatively firm padding for excellent power transfer. As such, it is ideal for higher speeds on the road! This 2.1 model flexes more and is much lighter than its predecessor!
Technology
Ergowave designThe Ergowave design of the SQlab saddles looks a bit like a wave. The raised rear section provides great support and optimal pressure distribution during cycling, which then leads to a more comfortable ride and better power transfer. The front of the saddle is lowered so that the front of your body does not touch the saddle. Combined with the recess in the centre of the saddle, this shape helps prevent pain in your soft tissue areas, even when cycling in an aerodynamic position!
Active technology
SQlab's Active technology involves an exchangeable elastomer in the rear section of the saddle. This elastomer allows the SQlab saddle to follow your natural cycling movement; your lower vertebrae are mobilised, and the pressure on your seat bones is reduced. This movement causes the muscles and vertebrae to be used during cycling, reducing the risk of developing lower back pain. This makes SQlab saddles with Active technology very comfortable.

Can really recommend this saddle.
Surprised how comfortable this saddle is.

Fine saddle where theory is true to reality.
Choosing a good supportive saddle is always difficult. I arrived at this saddle by first going through Mantel's decision aid and combining this with the SQ story; the background of the saddle. The result is a saddle that fits me like a glove, supports me just right and is comfortable beyond expectation.

Finally comfortable on a bicycle
After trying a lot of saddles with constant complaints of pressure spots and saddle pain, I finally ride my bike pain free. Super helped in the store in Rotterdam where they listened carefully and found a saddle that suited me.
